Spotlighting Yourself as a Writer and Humility

Spotlighting ourselves as a writer does not seem to be something inherent in most writers. As we gain audiences as writers, I think it is important to remember why we write: so others can read what we write. Spotlighting ourselves is not the goal. The spotlight should be on that writing, not on us.
